DESCRIPTION

Epusil EP 136-40 is an easy to use epoxy potting/casting compound displaying excellent adhesion to metals, ceramics and most plastics. When properly cured with Epcure 11, it conforms to the requirements of Mil-I-16923, Types B, C & D.

MIXING INSTRUCTION

1.        Stir Epusil 136-40 thoroughly in its original container until uniform and any settled filler is completely re-incorporated.

2.        Weigh out required amount of Epusil EP 136-40 and weigh into it 8-9 parts of EPC 9 per 100 parts Epusil EP 136-40; or 11-12 parts of EPC 11 per 100 parts Epusil EP 136-40.

3.        Mix curing agent in thoroughly.

4.        De-air (if necessary) at 0.5 cm. Hg. For 10 minutes.

5.        Pour into mold, module or cavity.

CURE SCHDULE

EPC 9 – overnight at room temperature. 

EPC 11 – 2 to 3 hours at 100⁰C; 4 to 6 hours at 80⁰C; or 12-16 hours at 60⁰C
