General Purpose Epoxy Casting Compound

DESCRIPTION

Epusil EP 136 is an easy to use epoxy potting/casting compound displaying excellent adhesion to metals, ceramics and most plastics. When properly cured with Epcure 11, it conforms to the requirements of Mil-I-16923, Types B, C & D.

MIXING INSTRUCTION

1.      Stir Epusil 136 thoroughly in its original container until uniform and any settled filler is

completely re-incorporated.

2.      Weigh out required amount of Epusil EP 136 and weigh into it 7 parts of EPC 9 per 100 parts

Epusil EP 136 or 8.5 parts of EPC 11 per 100 parts Epusil EP 136 or 15 parts of EPC 123 per 100 parts of EP 136.

3.      Mix curing agent in thoroughly, scraping sides and bottom of the mixing container.

4.      De-air (if necessary) at 0.5 cm. Hg. For 10 minutes.

5.      Pour into mold, module or cavity.

CURE SCHDULE

EPC 9 and EPC 123– overnight at room temperature. It is also recommended to post cure it at 70 to 800C for 3 hrs.

EPC 11 – is a heat cure agent. Therefore the necessary process is: 2 to 3 hours at 60 to 800, 2 to 3 hrs. at 1000C and 2-3 hours at 1500C; or 12-16 hours at 60 -700C
